Five-Step Process for Creating Your Morning Aromatherapy Routine

Now that we've come to the end of our look at essential oils recipes and blends for morning aromatherapy, you can begin to choose the ones you want to try.

Hopefully, you were able to print out the quiz, and rate the degree to which each problem affects you. Because now, you can begin to make use of the information you've received.

By the way, don't forget to download everything else that comes with the quiz - the morning aromatherapy journal, the mindful morning exercise ideas, the journal prompts, meditation moments and more.

Today, we'll talk about putting all of the information together into a plan for a personalized aromatherapy morning routine.

Creating the Plan for Your
Aromatherapy Morning Routine


(1) The first step is to create a master list of the essential oil blends or recipes you will need. You may not intend to use all of them a once, but know what was recommend based on the morning challenges you identified, and make a list of them plus any tools you'll need (like a diffuser, or cotton balls, etc.) to use the aromatherapy recipes.

(2) The next step is to identify how much time you want to spend each day doing your morning routine. There are nearly unlimited possibilities for ways to enhance the work of the essential oils - meditation, journaling, affirmations, and others - but which ones you can do, and to what degree, depend on how much time you can spare. Choose that amount and work from there.

(3) Once you know how much time you can spend, identify how many of your morning routine challenges you will tackle at one time. It's easy to decide to start with whichever one got your highest rating, but how many after that one?

You can take them one at a time, or if several ratings were similarly high, choose more than one.

(4), Next, also based on the amount of time you are choosing to spend, decide which of the morning routine ideas you want to add. Maybe you'll try brief meditation, but not journaling, or the reverse.

Make sure you don't get overwhelmed. Might be better to start small and add on as you go.

But make a master list of what you'd like to try, in general, and maybe circle or star what you intend to try first. For example, meditate for 5 minutes while inhaling the wake-up blend or repeat these three affirmations while I'm taking an aromatherapy bath...

If you're feeling motivated to really dive in, you could create a 2 or 3 day challenge for yourself, surrounding a weekend, and try several at the same time, noting which ones work best and whittle down your list of possibilities that way.

(5) Once you know what you plan to add to your morning routine, decide when and where to weave it in to what you're doing already.

Will you need to go to bed earlier? Wake up earlier in the morning?

Once you have answered all of those questions for yourself, you're ready to get started with transforming your morning routine.

I love using oils not only for therapy reasons but also in my facial scrubs and cleaning. Peppermint is also great for creepy crawly bugs!
