This month, we're talking about how to create more time for yourself and your family in ways that really make a difference. And we have been taking  look at both morning & evening routines.

Well, today, I want to share a blog post I read last month, during my blogging challenge. Lori Ferguson, from PositiveThanksLiving.com,  shared a study that offers questions you can use to create closer relationships. And I have already started using them with my son.

They would be perfect for using at dinner time or as part of your evening routine with your family.

In 1997 five researchers published a paper. It described an experiment they set up where strangers took turns asking each other 36 specific questions in exact order. At the end of the experiment, it was proven by feedback that these questions created a sense of closeness.  In less than an hour, some of the former strangers even exchanged contact information to continue their budding relationship.
-Lori Ferguson, Curiosity & Questions Spark Relationships

Lori includes all of the 3 sets of questions they used in the study and reading them, I can understand how they could be used to create closer relationships. With friends, with your spouse, and with your children. I highly recommend taking a look at them!

And by the way, if you are still struggling with time and wanting to find ways to have more time for family, click the link below to download a free ebook that is filled with tips you can use to revamp both your morning and your evening routine.

See you next time!

Love, Jeanine

This is helpful, even though I am living by myself. I'd like to figure out how to spend more time with family. We are all busy, and I have an issue with transportation (no car). My time with my mom is especially precious as she is 97 and is struggling with dementia. Who knows how long we will have her so every moment matters.

I so agree with you, Alice!! Every moment matters. And quality conversation and connection with family is even more important when you can't be together all the time. Bless you and your family.
