Morning Yoga Challenge: Day Seven

Yoga will wake you up like a double espresso. Yoga breathing will stimulate your body and mind. The fresh oxygen and energy boost from deep breathing will wake your brain. Sometimes we wake up feeling groggy; Yoga breathing will clear the fuzz away, help you feel energized and give you clarity. It will help you feel brighter and more alive.

Day Seven: The Savasana Pose

Savasana shifts the away from the sympathetic nervous system to the parasympathetic side, and we experience a calming, sweet release. Over time, Savasana teaches us how—and that we can—move from anxiety and hyper-stimulation to this state of down-regulation where ... essential systems are restored and enhanced. - Annie Carpenter
The Savasana Pose gives you the opportunity to practice mindfulness while your body is deeply grounded. Doing this pose may lead to deeper relaxation and a calm, meditative state.

Meditation Moment - breathe in and out, slowly and deeply, becoming as still as possible. Is there any anxiety or concern trying to get your attention? Give it time right now to come to the surface.

See you tomorrow!

Love, Jeanine

I've been loving your morning yoga posts however for me, it seems to work better in the evening. Especially this pose, nice relaxing after a day's work.
